Move aside, Ramen Burger—there's a new hybrid bite in town. International Sushi Day is coming up on June 18th and to celebrate, Japan-loving chef Chris Jaeckle is rolling out sushi burritos. Yes, you read that right.
Available at Uma Temakeria and Jaeckle's pop-up booth at Penn Plates, the nori-wrapped numbers will come crammed with fresh salmon and tuna, spicy tobanjan mayo, julienned carrots and cucumbers, all nestled inside seasoned sushi rice sprinkled with sesame seeds and tempura crunchies. Standing in for guac, you can trick out your burrito with avocado-lime sauce, as well as extras including marinated tofu, Blue Swimmer crab, daikon and more. Take a closer look below:
