Citi Bike is offering free rides today, so if you've been looking to test out the bike sharing service, get on down to your nearest docking station. The gratis trips come courtesy of a partnership with Noosa Yoghurt, and are only available on Citi Bike's app. Users will receive a code that's good for one 30-minute trip (any trek longer than that will be subject to extra fees).

Citi Bike currently has more than 600 stations in place across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and New Jersey (the service has not yet rolled out in Staten Island or the Bronx). Membership costs $163 per year, with day passes going for $12 and three-day passes costing $24.

Since launching in 2013, the program has been wildly successful. In June, Citi Bike provided an average of 57,505 rides per day, up from just over 20,000 daily rides in the month following its launch.
