The hills are alive with the sound of sizzle…

At least they will be May 28, when six new grills are set to open on Governors Island.

For a small fee of $26 for the day, you will be able to reserve a grill and up to five picnic tables. Additionally, you will have access to a “Radio Flyer” wagon to haul your grill necessities from the ferry to your site.

The island will also house hammocks with waterfront views for when the meat sweats set in. The grills will be joining “The Hills,” four man-made hills ranging from 25-to-80 feet in height with grass, walkways and even slides this summer on the island.
