Time Out says

Nothing says summer like catching a film under the stars. And one that's free? That's even better.

Presented by Union Square Partnership in partnership with Council Member Harvey Epstein and NYC Parks, Movies in the Square returns this season. Held at Union Square Park's North Plaza, the beloved outdoor film series will be showing family-friendly movies on select Thursdays in July. For a little nosh and while you watch, we highly recommend grabbing a bite befoehand at our very own Time Out Market New York, Union Square. In partnership with the film series, the market will be offering to-go plates from participating vendors, including Jase BBQ, The Rotisserie Haus and Smashed Express. Plus, the market will be offering happy hour all night.

Check out the full schedule of movies below:

  • July 16: Shrek
  • July 23: Addams Family Values
  • August 13: Black Panther

Movies in the Square are free to attend and will be held at Union Square's North Plaza, 17th Street from Broadway to Union Square East. The plaza opens for seating at 7:30pm with movies starting at dusk, around 8:15pm. A select number of chairs will be available, but guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets or seats.
