Whether you’re a casual Harry Potter fan or you have an O in tessomancy, this afternoon tea is the event for you.
The new Potions Class will be held at an undisclosed Manhattan location starting this month, serving food and drinks that will make you feel like you’re Harry Potter. The two-hour event will take place on June 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 29 and 30, with additional dates coming soon in July and August.
You’re encouraged to dress in your Hogwarts best, and the $45 ticket to the event gets you unlimited beverages along with a potions lesson. You’ll mix Dwarfs Brew and Goblin’s Juice, though their ingredients sound suspiciously like a latte and fruit punch. There will also be sandwiches and desserts served.
We must also note that this is not an official Harry Potter or Wizarding World–sanctioned event—it’s the Dumbledore’s Army of Harry Potter experiences in NYC, if you will. It’s by the same people who brought you the Mean Girls brunch and Clueless brunch, so we’re expecting it to be more of an excuse to eat and drink with other Potterheads than a truly magical experience. (Remember that Harry Potter restaurant in Brooklyn? It’ll probably be like that.)
