An all-vegan food festival is taking over Randall’s Island this weekend

If you really like eating your veggies (Mom was right!), then head to Randall's Island this weekend.

The Vegandale Food Drink festival is taking place this Saturday, the 29th, and Sunday, the 30th, as part of its four-city tour (other cities include Toronto, Houston and Chicago).

At the weekend-long festival, you can expect to sample goodies from over 125 vendors from around the world—Outlawz in Switzerland and Urban Originals in Australia—along with national eateries (a lot from L.A., of course) and some of our very own vegan and vegetarian restaurants like Avocaderia and Screamer's Pizzeria. 

And there's more than just healthy bites to keep you busy. The festival bills itself as a pop-up neighborhood, with interactive art installations and live DJs entertaining the hungry mob as they chow down on the dozens of plant-based drinks and food. The event occurs from 11am to 7pm on both days, and you can purchase tickets on their website
