With summer’s arrival, we’re getting into a Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest state of mind and trying to eat as many links as we can before the cold weather returns. Luckily, Dog Haus, the West Coast-based gourmet hot dog concept, is arriving in New York City just in time for us to get the most out of the season. Beginning on Thursday, June 13, they’ll begin their residency at Chefs Club Counter and show that ‘dogs really are man’s best friend.

The menu offers Dog Haus favorites mixed with items exclusive to the New York location including the Me Soho-NY (Big Island Lava Mayo, pickled red cabbage and chili oil), Huli-Huli (pineapple & jalapeno relish, crispy fried onions, sweet ginger glaze and scallions)  and SOOO CALI (wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions and spicy basil aioli). Alongside your buns, they’ll have all the necessary accoutrements including fries, tots, onion rings (fried in beef tallow, because why not) and a Salty Malty milkshake.

When ordering, guests will have their choice of protein, ranging from bacon wrapped dogs to Thai red currywurst, Creekstone to chicken schnitzel. Once the base is picked, you can build your hot dog creation, all stuffed in a King’s Hawaiian roll.

To gear up for their opening tomorrow, you can head down to Chefs Club Counter (62 Spring St) and grab a free Haus Dog from 11am to 10pm on Tuesdayn in preparation. You know where you can find us.
