LaGuardia Airport’s glow-up isn’t slowing down. Terminal B just added another headline-grabbing reason to show up early for your flight: Capital One Landing, a new Spanish-inspired dining destination created with Chef José Andrés and the José Andrés Group, is now open on one of the terminal’s signature skybridges.

The goal of the 12,500-square-foot space is to feel less like a typical airport pit stop and more like an actual restaurant you’d choose to visit. Think tapas, Spanish wines, craft cocktails and roaming “Daily Rituals” carts that deliver interactive bites tableside, all set against floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city skyline and the tarmac below. A 30-foot mural by New York artist Amrita Marino anchors the room, while practical details like integrated power outlets, fast Wi-Fi and luggage nooks are built into nearly every seat.

Unlike many airport lounge-adjacent concepts, Capital One Landing is open to any traveler with a same-day boarding pass, regardless of cardholder status. Capital One Venture X and Venture X Business primary cardholders get complimentary access, Venture and Spark Miles cardholders can enter for $45 and everyone else can book a visit for $90, subject to space availability, up to three hours before departure.

The opening is the latest in Terminal B’s ongoing push to rethink airport hospitality since its multibillion-dollar redevelopment wrapped in 2022. LaGuardia Gateway Partners, the terminal’s developer and operator, positioned the new venue as another step toward turning the airport from a place you endure into one you might actually want to linger in. Officials say the collaboration with José Andrés Group is meant to elevate dining standards while keeping the experience inclusive rather than exclusive.

That philosophy shows up in the design, too. The Landing sits along one of Terminal B’s airy pedestrian bridges—the same architectural feature that helped the space earn international attention, including two Skytrax five-star ratings for customer experience. The new addition expands a food-and-beverage lineup that has steadily leaned toward chef-driven concepts rather than generic grab-and-go counters.

For travelers, the pitch is simple: arrive early, grab a glass of Spanish wine and watch planes taxi against a Manhattan backdrop instead of circling for an open outlet near the gate. In a city where airport dining has long felt like an afterthought, Capital One Landing is betting that even a layover can come with a side of tapas—and maybe a skyline view worth posting about before takeoff.
