Luckily, for all you procrastinators, there are still several 4th of July events as well as parties and concerts you can still attend. Here’s how we would spend America’s birthday before finding out where to watch the fireworks.

4th of July Celebration at One World Observatory
Celebrate Independence Day in a way you’ll never forget at one of the top New York attractions—One world Observatory. The evening affair includes a two-hour open bar, grub such as hot dogs and soft pretzels and a killer view of the fireworks from the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.

The Dutch Fourth of July Cookout
Get a taste of our 50th state (that’s Hawaii) at Soho foodie favorite the Dutch during its annual Fourth of July Cookout. Enjoy playing lawn games while sipping gorilla size punch bowls of mai tai cocktails. The main event is definitely the menu, which features Kalua Pig, Sticky Pork Ribs, Corn Dogs and more. 131 Sullivan St (thedutchnyc.com).

Star Spangled Banger at Coney Island Brewery
After watching in wonder (and disgust) at competitive eating champs go head-to-head during Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, check out the official after-party at Coney Island Brewery. These fun folks are serving Boardwalk bites from Coney Shack as well as Red, White and Blue beer infusions.

50Star Fireshow
Want to escape the city for the Fourth but can’t afford to go too far out? For a full day of truly American festivities, head to New Jersey’s Exchange Place. Only a short ferry ride from the city, the area offers great views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline. Starting at noon, the full day of programming includes carnival rides, food trucks, a beer garden and a live performance by Snoop Dog. A lengthy fireworks show by Grucci ends the day as a perfect salute to the nation.

Dumblonde Presents 4th of July Pool Party
Make a splash in Long Island City at Profundo Day Club’s 4th of July party celebrating alternative dance duo Dumblonde’s new single, “White Hot Lies.” Every guest gets a goodie bag loaded with swag such as an autographed poster, pool towel, a $50 gift card to Penthouse 808, Hotel Chantelle and The Regal, Winky Lux lip gloss and more.

New York Yankees versus the Atlanta Braves
Let’s go Yankees! (Unless, you’re a Mets fan). The boys in pinstripes play against the Atlanta Braves at 1:05pm on the Fourth of July. And there’s no better way to celebrate your country’s birthday than by drinking beer, eating Cracker Jack and watching America’s game, right?

Psst: You can still get tickets to these kick-ass 4th of July firework cruises
