NYC Summer Restaurant Week runs from July 20 through August 16, and participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe lunch or dinner menus priced at $30, $45 and $60, depending on the spot; taxes and gratuity are extra.
“NYC Restaurant Week is a signature celebration of the City’s culinary scene, making dining affordable and accessible across all five boroughs,” said Julie Coker, president and CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions. “As New York City continues to welcome the world for a historic summer, this program boosts business to more than 600 restaurants while giving visitors more reasons to explore the neighborhoods, cultures and cuisines that make our city one of the world’s great dining destinations.”
The online Restaurant Week directory is designed for anyone who gets mildly overwhelmed by hundreds of restaurant options: diners can filter participating spots by cuisine, borough, neighborhood, accessibility, meal type, participating weeks and whether a menu has already been posted. There are also curated collections for “Around the Boroughs,” “Celebrity Chefs,” “Classic Restaurants,” “Summer Vibes,” “Date Night,” “Dress for the Occasion,” “For the Foodies” and “Hidden Gems.”
“New York is the greatest food city in the world. Our restaurants employ hundreds of thousands of us; they are where we gather with our families and friends, where we sample cultures and cuisines from every corner of the planet,” said Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
NYC Restaurant Week has been feeding deal-seeking New Yorkers since 1992, when the original promotion launched to welcome delegates attending the Democratic National Convention. Now, more than three decades later, the twice-yearly event remains one of the city's best excuses to finally book that restaurant you've had saved on your phone for six months.
Participating restaurants will also have the option to extend their Restaurant Week deals through Labor Day. But if there's a particularly buzzy spot on your summer wish list, consider this your warning: reservations officially open today, and New Yorkers know their way around a good deal.
