Watch films for free outside in Prospect Park this summer

Summer in NYC would not be complete without watching a flick outside at one of our fair city’s lovely parks. And one of our favorite outdoor film festivals—A Summer Movie Under the Stars in Prospect Park—just announced this year’s lineup.

Once again, the Prospect Park Alliance partnered with beloved dine-in movie theater Nitehawk Cinema to select some choice reels for the summer (see below). Fun fact: This year’s films were some of the same movies shown at the Sanders Theater/Pavilion Theater over its 90-year history. The theater, located on Bartel-Pritchard Square, reopens this summer as Nitehawk Prospect Park.

As always, each outdoor screening is free and held at Long Meadow North. Make sure to get there early to get a good spot and to enjoy live music before the opening credits roll.
