Affordable apartments in NYC

641 Tenth Ave, #2RS

Two-bedroom in Hell’s Kitchen, $2,199/month ($1,099 per person)

Imagine being able to roll out of the bed in the morning and stroll over to your job in midtown. Now invision dancing at a packed club until closing time and stumbling two blocks to your door. That could be you with this amazing location. The place might not look that fancy, but the bedrooms are both sizable, have closets (not a guarantee in this neighborhood) and the kitchen has a dishwasher, which is definitely worth it for the convenience to, oh, everything.

Three-bedroom in Greenpoint, $3,420/month ($1,140 per person)

If this apartment is as beautiful in real life as it is in photos, then we should all be packing our bags and moving to Greenpoint. Those elongated windows flood the space from the high ceilings to the dark hardwood floors in light, the kitchen is simple but sleek, and we can definitely imagine relaxing for a while in that bathtub. Throw in the on-site laundry, in-unit dishwasher and air conditioning listed in the advertisement and we’re in heaven.

Three-bedroom in Crown Heights, $3,200/month ($1,067 per person)

While we’ve listed the price if the apartment was split three ways evenly, it should be made clear that this apartment shouldn’t be: The master bedroom has it’s very own ensuite bathroom! Regardless of whether you end up with your personal bathroom or have to share with the other roommate, you can rest assured that both powder rooms and the kitchen were freshly renovated and the unit has it’s very own washer/dryer.

Four-bedroom in the East Village, $3,995/month ($999 per person)

Sure, living in a four-bedroom might seem like a lot of roommates, but not with a set-up like this. With two floors, two bathrooms and a private backyard with an outdoor patio—you read that right—you’ll be able to get in your alone time or host a rollicking house party. Though even when you do want to step out, given the apartment’s location (just a few blocks south of Tompkins Square Park), you’ll never be at a loss for good food, drink and music options.
