From ballet to Bollywood numbers, salsa to tango, K-Pop to hip-hop, these studios will have you dancing like no one's watching. And once you're ready to dance up a storm, hit Singapore's hottest clubs and show off your best moves.

Danz People

Founded in 2008, Danz People is one of Singapore’s premier dance studios and home to United Groovers, Junior Groovers, and Mini Groovers. The studio provides a wide range of dance class across genres: hip-hop, freestyle, contemporary, jazz, and street jazz. It caters to both seasoned and novice dancers and offers courses for dancers of all ages. Don’t worry about not catching the steps – its introductory courses are tailored for beginners to learn the foundations and basic techniques. Classes start from $16, and $24 for single contemporary classes.

Recognize! Studios

Recognize! Studios opened in 2010 and provides a creative outlet for dance enthusiasts to experience different dance genres across various levels. Recognize! offers a range of open classes like urban choreography, street jazz, grooves, waacking, hip-hop, and more. Suitable for dancers of all levels, the classes are designed to teach choreography progressively. Classes start at $10 for first-timers, $13 for members, and $17 for non-members. It also offers basic courses for people looking to improve on their fundamental steps, techniques, and routines. Courses start at $150 for an eight-week course for members.


O School

Dance Studios River Valley

With classes like dancehall, lyrical jazz and Kpop, there's always something to move to at O School. Its courses focus on fitness development, skills development, choreography, and interactions, making you an all-rounded dancer no matter the style. Its eight-week course starts at $250, but for a taster, opt for the one-hour trial class at $15.

No matter where you stand – beginner or advanced – ignite your passion and practise your footwork with six class levels to choose from, starting with the Beginner 1 classes which are scheduled in a fixed eight-week term to allow amateur dancers to familiarise themselves with the technicality and basics of classical ballet. These classes are led by SDT's own pool of talented ballerinas and ballerinos as well as trained dance teachers.
