Therme Singapore will have thermal pools, treatment rooms, dining spaces, and a coastal park

There’s a new wellness attraction brewing at Marina South.
Say hello to Therme Singapore – a sprawling wellbeing destination set to open in Singapore in 2030. And this isn’t just another leisure development – it’s being positioned as Asia’s first large-scale integrated wellbeing destination, bringing together water-based recreation, thermal wellness facilities, dining spaces, and extensive landscaped environments, all connected under one roof.
The development will cover more than 720,000 sq ft across seven levels (including a basement) – that’s roughly the size of nine football fields. Featuring three distinct zones, the destination’s goal is to stack different kinds of experiences vertically, from high-energy water play to quiet spaces for recovery and rest.
The first zone ‘Play’ stays true to its name – think children’s pools, interactive water zones, and 18 slides stretching across 1.8 kilometres in total. A few levels down, things shift into the zone ‘Relax’. This is where thermal pools, mineral baths, hydromassage beds, infrared therapy, and quieter water areas take over. Lastly, there’s ‘Restore’, which goes even further into recovery territory – saunas, steam rooms, and treatment spaces built for longer, slower sessions.
Food and social spaces are also woven into the mix, with more than 86,000 sq ft set aside for dining and gathering, all designed to open out towards sea views. Thus far, no names have been released, so stay tuned for updates
The appeal continues outside of the building, too. Outside, stroll through a landscape planted with over 200,000 plants across more than 200 species, including orchids and native Southeast Asian varieties. A 4-hectare coastal park will also connect the development towards Marina Barrage, adding a public waterfront stretch to the area.
As for its system, Therme Singapore is taking a unique approach – RFID wristbands will be used as locker keys and payment tools, while robotic locker systems handle storage logistics. Water quality will also be managed through advanced filtration systems using ozone technology.
Therme Singapore is developed by Therme Group together with Kajima Overseas Asia and DP Architects, working alongside the company’s in-house team, Therme ARC. Sustainability has also been kept in mind throughout the design process, with energy-efficient systems, solar panels, smart irrigation, and climate-responsive landscaping all built into the plan.
