From July through August, there's no getting away with saying there's nothing to do in Singapore. Returning for its fourth edition, the Chin Swee Neighbourhood Club (CSNC) returns with its biggest programme yet, unfolding across four weekends and three venues.

What started as a one-off gathering for coffee lovers has evolved into a full-fledged social season. From July 11 to August 2, expect quiz nights, throwback DJ sets, pet-friendly brunches and a creative block party that spotlights some of Singapore's most exciting independent brands.

The festivities kick off at Common Man Coffee Roaster (CMCR) Joo Chiat with ‘Your Table Is Ready’ on July 11, a quiz night where you’ll have dinner over some healthy competition. Think free-flow natural wines, Asian-inspired comfort dishes and trivia rounds spanning everything from local nostalgia to O-level knowledge you thought you'd never need again. The event is ticketed, priced at $35 and can be purchased here.

On July 18, the nostalgia continues with ‘Are We Cool?’, a 2000s-themed DJ night featuring sets by Mako, Pinchen and Sugar & Spice. There’ll also be Korean fried chicken from Bokk and free-flow wines. Tickets are priced from $45 and can be purchased here.

Next up – ‘I Like This’ lands at CMCR Alexandra on July 25 and 26. The Furkids Brunch Club welcomes four-legged guests with a pet market featuring local brands like Mini Pawtisserie and Pawff SG, offering treats, accessories, and more lifestyle goodies for your furkids.

The event wraps up where it all began: Chin Swee Road. On August 1 and 2, the Common Man Coffee Roasters Barista Academy transforms into a neighbourhood block party packed with food, workshops and home-grown names, from Tokyo-Neapolitan pizza specialist Keenway Pizza and condiment maker Pöonsti to bagel concept Schmear Campaign, playful 3D-printed homeware studio Plook Plook and design-led lifestyle label Frm,Ytd.

Visitors can join wine-pairing sessions with Chip Wine Club, make their own lampshades with Issho Labo or sharpen their coffee skills at hands-on workshops hosted by the academy. CMCR will be unveiling two new coffee beans, Daily Driver and Easy Rider – its first new releases in over a decade.

Find out more here.

CSNC is happening across three locations: Common Man Coffee Roasters Joo Chiat, Common Man Coffee Roasters Alexandra, and Barista Academy at 52 Chin Swee Road.
