Baybeats, Singapore's favourite alternative music festival, is back, and once again, it's keeping live music accessible with free entry for all. Returning to Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay for its 25th edition, the festival will run from September 3 to 6, 2026. This year sees four days of indie, punk, hardcore, hip hop, shoegaze and everything in between, with nearly 50 acts from Singapore and around the world.
Don't expect one sound to dominate the weekend. The programme leaps from hardcore, metal and post-punk to dream-pop, ambient electronica, reggae, hip hop and experimental noise.

The full line-up has officially dropped, with Singapore's own acts leading the charge. Expect homegrown favourites like Subsonic Eye, Disco Hue, Kin Leonn, The Observatory and Stopgap, alongside rising names including Soggy Jeans, MUFF, Pretty Girls Cry and Mediocre Haircut Crew.
In true Baybeats fashion, the programme stretches well beyond our shores too. Joining the local contingent are international heavyweights and exciting regional acts, including Japan's Boris, the cabs and Coaltar of the Deepers, Indonesia's The SIGIT and Perunggu, Austria's Bilderbuch, South Korea's HOA, the Philippines' Typecast and Thailand's Soft Pine.
If Baybeats has somehow flown under your radar, now's the time to fix that. If you're short on time, here are some headliners to look out for at the 25th edition: Boris, an iconic heavy metal and experimental band from Japan; Stopgap, Singapore's favourite indie/alt-rock band; Bulgogi Disco, a Korean indie funk band that's guaranteed to deliver a groovy time; Bilderbuch, for a solid introduction to Austrian pop-rock; and Mediocre Haircut Crew, a local hip-hop act for some raw, DIY lyricism and energy.
Otherwise, entry is free, so we highly encourage just showing up and wandering between stages.
