Better known as one of the restaurants that made it to Asia’s Best Restaurants 2024 list

Amid a steady stream of new openings, Singapore has also seen its fair share of closures in recent months. There's now another to add to the list: after fourteen years, countless plates, and one last Valentine’s Day to come, modern Mediterranean restaurant Lolla on Ann Siang Hill will be signing off for good, with its final service set for February 14, 2026.
Since opening in 2012, the intimate spot built a loyal following and serious industry cred, earning a place on Asia’s Best Restaurants 2024 list and landing in the Michelin Guide for the first time just last year.

The news arrived on Instagram yesterday, where the team thanked diners for years of support but offered no explanation for the closure. Lolla’s staff told Channel NewsAsia they were asked to begin job-hunting in January, with confirmation of the closure coming only days before the public announcement. A restaurant executive also said employees will receive a reduced final salary.
If you’re planning one last visit, we definitely have some recommendations for you. Start by warming up your palate with the toasted sourdough paired with their house-made kombu butter – non-negotiable. From there, don’t skip the sea urchin pudding, the dish they’re best known for, and be sure to leave space for the sweet, fresh heirloom tomato with burratina. The grilled octopus and Iberico pork collar are both solid picks, too. And while desserts across the board rarely miss, if we had to pick just one, it’s going to be the lemon curd doughnuts.
