The private terminal replaces the JetQuay VIP lounge, while the Hub & Spoke expansion adds an amphitheatre and dining

Changi Airport Terminal 2 is set for a fairly significant revamp, with changes rolling out by mid-2027. The upgrades come in two parallel parts – one focused on a new private terminal, and the other on an expanded lifestyle cluster next door – both reshaping the southern end of the airport.
The first part of the transformation is centred on the former JetQuay site, which previously catered to VIP travellers looking for a more private airport experience. That space is being redeveloped into a private terminal and lifestyle hub, developed jointly by Changi Airport Group and Plaza Premium Group.
Inside, the space will lean into a more luxurious travel experience – think a dedicated lounge, bar, private suites, and exclusive dining options. There will also be a flexible event space that can host anything from small private gatherings to larger, hosted functions.
Next door, the Hub & Spoke area is also being expanded as a separate but adjoining development. This part of the project adds new restaurants and eateries, wellness-focused offerings, and pet-friendly facilities.
Out of all the changes, the highlight of the Hub & Spoke makeover will be the addition of Changi’s first-ever covered amphitheatre, paired with an open-air plaza. Designed for performances and community events, it’ll also add a space in the airport area that’s open to everyone to hang out.
