Starting July 3, 2026, Jewel Changi Airport will welcome the reopening of its refreshed food atrium by Food Republic, and it isn’t just another food court – its standout is its strong Michelin Bib Gourmand presence alongside long-established heritage stalls.

This time, the concept is shaped around Singapore’s 1970s neighbourhood streets, drawing from the rhythm of five-foot ways and shared community spaces where humble businesses and food stalls operated back in the day.

Food wise, you’ve got many to choose from – starting with Na Na Homemade Curry, a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient from 2016 to 2025, that’s built on a family recipe dating back to 1989. Its curries are made using a blend of Indian dried chillies and more than 10 herbs, slow-cooked with premium ingredients and coconut to create a rich, spice-forward gravy.

You’ll also be able to find LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles, a Bib Gourmand staple from 2022 to 2025, whose origins trace back to a 1968 pushcart. It is known for handmade fishballs made from 100% yellowtail, using a traditional Teochew recipe dating back to the 1960s.

Jian Bo Shui Kueh is part of the line-up too – a Bib Gourmand brand from 2021 to 2025. The store has roots dating back to 1958 and is known for soft steamed rice cakes topped with homemade preserved radish (chai poh), continuing its long-standing Teochew breakfast tradition.

Joining the gang is Singapore’s first outlet of the beloved Hong Kong-based Ai Shan Claypot Express. The brand is known for combining Hunan-inspired flavours with Hong Kong-style claypot rice techniques, producing a consistently crisp rice crust through a controlled claypot cooking process. Each serving uses two types of rice, peanut oil from China, and a homemade soy sauce blended from more than 20 spices.

Beyond these headliners, the atrium brings together additional heritage and regional favourites. These include Indonesian cuisine from Padang Lezat Authentic Indonesian Cuisine (Halal, now run by its fourth generation), herbal-style broths from Ju Fu Bak Kut Teh, and classic local chicken rice from Yang Sayang Chicken Rice.

To extend the experience beyond dining, Food Republic is also introducing a limited-time postcard initiative. From July 4 to 31, 2026, diners who spend a minimum of $18 (across up to two combined receipts) at the Jewel outlet can redeem collectible postcards along with stamps and other memorabilia. And what’s special is that you can actually mail these postcards there and then from the atrium to destinations worldwide.
