Kopitiam is introducing Bagus, a 290-seater halal food hall concept that’s making itself at home at Northpoint City, officially opening on May 6, 2026. This follows Singapore’s first fully halal food court back in 1999, but it’s a tad different – it’s being billed as Singapore’s first elevated fully halal food hall with polished interiors leaning into heritage and a huge vendor list serving up a wide variety of cuisines from modernised nasi padang to Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Korean food.

You’ll be able to find 14 stalls at Bagus – swinging between familiar crowd-pleasers and slightly more adventurous bites. Monster Chili Mala Xiang Guo brings the spice, halal-style, while Ani Yong Tau Foo keeps things light and comforting, and Tang Tea House steps in for dim sum and chicken rice cravings. You’ll also find Thai street food staples, Vietnamese pho and banh mi, Korean-Japanese rice bowls and grills, nasi padang spreads, sizzling mini wok dishes, and prata and roti stuffed like street-style burgers. There are even dessert and drink spots in the mix – think iced teas, kopi, and sweet treats to round things off.

The interiors are very much part of the draw, too. Walk in, and you’ll find yourself under a canopy of colour-shifting LED lanterns before landing in a space dressed in warm, earthy tones with soft curves and textures inspired by Malay ingredients – think banana leaves, spices, and the whole pantry.

And hovering above it all is “Ulam-ulaman,” an illuminated installation by local artist Hafizah. Look closely and try spotting its subtle cultural details, including figures dressed in traditional attire.

Bagus is also leaning hard into the “experience” aspect. There’s a community playlist called Bagus Beats where diners can submit songs and have a chance to soundtrack their mealtime there. Then there’s Bagus Stories, an open call for people to share snippets of their lives through photos or videos, with a social-media-style spin and cash prizes in the mix.

The opening of Bagus isn’t a one-off move either; it is part of Kopitiam’s next chapter, with plans to expand the concept to more locations across Singapore.

Time Out tip: Pay via the FairPrice Group app and you’ll get a 10 per cent discount.

Bagus is located at 1 North Point Drive, South Wing, #02-101/102/103 Northpoint City, Singapore 768019, and is open from 9am to 10pm daily.
