Singapore’s Atlas ranks No. 4 in World’s 50 Best Bars 2020 list

Atlas is the top Asia bar in the world, according to the World’s 50 Best Bar 2020 list announced today, on November 6. The art deco-inspired destination, located at Parkview Square, rose four spots to come in at No. 4 on this year’s list. 

Also making the top ten list is Jigger and Pony, which clinched top spots on this year's Asia's 50 Best Bars 2020 list. It snags up the 9th spot following last year’s placement at 29th.

Two other local entries also made the list this year: Manhattan, which fell three spots from its No. 11 position last year to come in at No. 14; and Native, which comes in at No. 18. 

Outside of the top 50 rankings, the Singapore outpost of The Old Man is now 58th on the list. The extended 51 to 100 list also features No Sleep Club (No. 53), Tippling Club (No. 64), 28 HongKong Street (No. 86), and Gibson (No. 92). Falling out of the list is Operation Dagger, which closed its Ann Siang Hill space on October 31. 

This year, the results were announced via a virtual ceremony live-streamed from London in light of the current travel restrictions. It is hoped that the results will inject some positive news into an industry hard-hit by the pandemic.
