Empire
  • Nightlife
  • Clubs
  • Raffles Place
Let your hair down and be on top of the world (or the CBD, at least) at Empire, a penthouse lounge, decked out in chic minimalistic furniture, that offers a panoramic view of the Marina Bay. While most of the partying is done al fresco, there’s an indoor VIP area (minimum spend starts from $550) just a stone’s throw away for you to take your party to the next level.

  • Sentosa
Tanjong Beach Club is known for its poolside parties, but you can also book out a section of the venue to throw your own private bash. Make your reservation at least one week in advance to secure the pool or beach daybeds (minimum spend of $200), especially if you have a group larger than ten. The beachside spot is pet-friendly, so don’t leave your furkids at home. Sunday is the best day to visit: Tanjong Beach Club’s resident DJs such as Kane Ian and Dave Does spin bubbly nu-disco, tropical house and Balearic beats in their weekly edition of Smack My Beach Up. Did we mention that there’s beer pong, too?

  • Chinatown
In true laid-back Caribbean style, the four-storey Lime House is designed for ‘liming’, the Caribbean concept of hanging out with friends – or what we’d call ‘lepak’. While the first two floors function as the restaurant and bar, the third ($500/halfday, $800/full day) can accommodate up to 80. If your party’s smaller and fond of booze, the 40-seater Rum Lounge offers a cocktail party ($125 per guest), which includes free flow canapés and drinks for 2 hours.

  • Orchard

Inspired by the 19th century’s Golden Age of cocktail and fine drinking, Manhattan at Regent Singapore is where you’d want to be if you enjoy the finer things in life. For intimate gatherings, skip past the Main Salon and book out one of Manhattan’s three rooms. The Private Salon accommodates up to 14 guests, while the Rockefeller fits up to 20 and can be combined with the Library for larger groups of up to 35 guests. The exclusivity will cost you – minimum spend starts from $1,500 right up to $3,500 – though you’ll be spoilt silly with an array of bar bites, welcome champagne and cocktails.
