The best Valentine's Day menus in Singapore

1. Marguerite

What is it? A floral-themed Valentine's Day experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Gardens by the Bay, complete with plenty of complimentary touches.

Why we love it: It isn't just a Valentine's Day meal, but a whole experience, starting with a free limousine buggy ride from the garden's main entrance to the restaurant. Spring flowers greet you as you stroll through the chilly Flower Dome, and as you step into Marguerite, a glass of bubbly awaits. From there, you and your date are whisked away to Chef-Patron Michael Wilson's botanical dreamscape, with a creative five-course menu highlighting premium ingredients like Western Australian marron, Murray Cod, Amur caviar, Satsuma A4 wagyu, foie gras and more. The final act is the restaurant's headlining Marguerite 'Opera' dessert – an eight-tiered wonder with layers of hazelnut, cacao nibs, chocolate and coffee oil.

Time Out tip: Make sure to dress appropriately for 20°C temperatures. And don't forget to take your complimentary petit-fours before going, presented in elegant take-home boxes.

Address: 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome, #01-09, Singapore 018953

2. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Singapore by Wolfgang Zwiener

What is it? If your idea of romance involves a perfectly seared steak and a little old-school glamour, this one’s a no-brainer. From February 9 to 21, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Singapore by Wolfgang Zwiener rolls out A Love Letter to Steak – a four-course Valentine’s set menu for two, served in its moody, New York-style dining room at Robertson Quay.

Why we love it: The indulgent line-up includes salmon tartare with caviar, lobster bisque, the signature 100 percent USDA Prime Black Angus Dry-Aged Porterhouse Steak for Two with sides such as mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, and classic tiramisu to finish. Complete your meal with the Pop My Cherry cocktail ($25), a flirty mix of umeshu, gin, cherry liqueur and yuzu that’s available throughout February.

Time Out tip: Don’t rush off once dessert’s done – couples dining on the Valentine’s Day menu get a complimentary Polaroid keepsake, a sweet little souvenir that feels far more personal than a phone snap.

Address: 1 Nanson Road, Robertson Quay, #02-01 InterContinental Singapore, Singapore 238909

3. Forage

What is it? Dine with a view at one of Singapore's newest and most unique dining experiences, tucked away in Mandai Rainforest Resort.

Why we love it: Escape the packed-out restaurants in town on Valentine's Day and join the lovebirds at this secluded spot surrounded by nature. Forage is a relatively new farm-to-table fine-dining concept with a menu that leans heavily into hyper-seasonal produce. For its first Valentine's Day, guests can pick between a wallet-friendly four-course lunch ($88 per person) or the eight-course dinner ($238 per person), with optional wine pairings at $68 and $158 for three and seven glasses, respectively. Savour dishes like Borscht Reimagined, Tajima beef striploin with a coffee-infused jus or a Pinot Noir-poached apple dessert.

Time Out tip: While all 40 seats in Forage are angled towards Upper Seletar Reservoir, we recommend requesting a window seat so you and your partner get a truly unblocked view. You can also opt for the Dinner Under The Stars ($298 per person) experience at the resort's rooftop, limited to five tables each evening.

Address: 60 Mandai Lake Rd, Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, Level 4, Singapore 729979
Valentine’s Day menu availability: From February 13 to 15
Expect to pay: From $88 for the four-course lunch menu

4. Publico

What is it? Casual Italian bistro along Robertson Quay with riverfront views, alfresco seats and a Valentine's Day menu that won't break the bank.

Why we love it: Publico keeps it casual without the formal white tablecloths and hushed atmosphere, but the restaurant is still chic and contemporary enough for it not to feel like a regular date night meal. The Valentine's Day sharing set menu makes ordering a breeze. For $88 per person, you get a curated feast with seafood dishes like Rockefeller oysters with caviar and house-made crab tortellini. And to share: a pan-seared duck breast with a tart cherry and strawberry sauce. If you don't mind a dose of wholesome cringe, order the heart-shaped Diavola or Margherita pizza, which you can witness being made at the open counter. End the meal with a quintessential Valentine's Day dessert: chocolate. In this case, they come in the form of colourful bonbons by Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie.

Time Out tip: Come for the food, stay for the side activities – think DJ sets, a roving saxophonist, and even a typewriter poet that'll craft you and your date a personalised poem to take home as a lovely keepsake.

Address: 1 Nanson Rd, Singapore 238909
Valentine’s Day menu availability: 5pm and 8pm on February 14
Expect to pay: From $88 for the Valentine's Day sharing set menu for two

5. L’Amo Bistrò del Mare

What is it? This classy restaurant in the new luxury hotel Mett Singapore is offering a five-course coastal Italian meal this Valentine's Day.

Why we love it: L’Amo Bistrò del Mare is one of the newest dining destinations in town, and it's quietly located in Fort Canning – close enough to town but far enough from the buzz. This restaurant offers a seafood-forward Valentine's Day menu crafted by none other than the award-winning chef Daniele Sperindio, with highlights like Irish oysters, kingfish tartare and a 32-yolk Campanelle with Boston lobster to whet your appetite. The meal then unfolds with salt-baked sea bass, maple-leaf smoked duck breast, and a raspberry, rose and pistachio dessert as the finale. But it's the ambience that really takes the crown: think a romantic candlelit setting at L'Amo's garden terrace, with a live piano performance in the background.

Time Out tip: End the night with a romantic stroll in Fort Canning Park.

Address: 11 Canning Walk, Mett Singapore, Singapore 178881
Valentine’s Day menu availability: Dinner on February 14
Expect to pay: From $188 per person for the five-course dinner, including a glass of Champagne Rosé.

6. 54° Steakhouse

What is it? A sultry, modern steakhouse along Telok Ayer serving some of the finest cuts of meat, all passed through an open woodfire.

Why we love it: 'Flame-kissed' might be the most appropriate descriptor for the Valentine's Day experience at the all-new 54° Steakhouse along Amoy Street. The meal begins with a stalk of rose presented to each couple to mark the occasion, but the highlight is undoubtedly the food itself. In place of the restaurant's regular set lunch and à la carte dinner menus, it will be offering a special Valentine's Day set, starting with appetisers like the tuna hamachi crudo and pan-seared foie gras. The showstoppers are the Black Onyx Filet Mignon and Kagoshima wagyu striploin steaks, with flavours coaxed out by ironbark and binchotan, and a seven-spice seasoning unique to the restaurant.

Time Out tip: Save stomach space for classic steakhouse sides that accompany your meal, like creamed spinach and mac and cheese.

Address: 54 Amoy Street, Singapore 069880
Valentine’s Day menu availability: Available for lunch and dinner on February 13 and 14
Expect to pay: From $168 per person for the Valentine's menu
