Time Out says

A trip to Funan is always a treat – it's home to over 190 tenants and many vibrant spaces like the indoor cycling path, the indoor climbing wall, and even the rooftop urban farm. But from now until February 21, it's all about to get even more electrifying with Creative Unions, a major month-long art-meets-retail programme that elevates the shopping experience across fashion, food and lifestyle with art.

Curated by Neighborhood and presented by Funan, the city's first mall-wide art activation comes as part of Singapore Art Week, where over 10 visual artists and brands – local and international – team up to roll out unique experiences for shoppers. These artists have given everyday items such as bicycles, home accessories, and sneakers a refreshing spin that reflects their innovative design and signature style.

"These diverse collaborations have dismantled cookie-cutter formats of presentations in art as well as experience design in retail," Aravin Sandran, Director of Neighborhood, points out.

With Creative Unions, you can sample a mouthful of happiness with a "Misty morning at Clementi Forest" gelato from Small Joys by Butterknife Folk and graphic artist Aida Sa’ad; spruce up your living rooms with home-ready art objects by Singapore’s most promising visual artists like Tristan Lim, Priyageetha Dia, and Luke Heng from Grafunkt Art Market; tap into your imagination with Van's edgy sneaker art workshops in They Are; celebrate native mushrooms under the glow of neon lights, and more. There are also plenty of photo opportunities to level up your Instagram game.

Besides Creative Unions, you can also delight in A Closer Encounter with Art at Level 1. The exhibition by ArtWallSt spotlights attention-grabbing artworks by local artists including The Next Most Famous Artist, who's known for reimagining classical figures into modern-day Singapore, and Zero, who's responsible for most of the murals around the Bugis-Bras Basah district.
