Experience new sights at with your partner at Changi Bay Point – a 140-metre-long boardwalk made out of slip-resistant glass fibre and reinforced concrete that also provides a beautiful view of the waterfront. It is an attraction along the newly opened Changi Bay Park Connector which connects Changi Beach Park to the East Coastal Park Connector Network – forming part of the eastern corridor of the Round-Island-Route (RIR).

Take a walk on the boardwalk which is connected to a breakwater so you can be right at the water's edge. Need a breather? Sit yourselves down at the pavilion near the boardwalk for a rest and enjoy the waterfront views while you're at it. Best times to come are the early mornings to avoid the crowds or cycle down in the golden hour.

For a lot of us, there is something deeply sentimental, and maybe even romantic about watching a movie outdoors. This might stem from a family movie night together, snuggled warmly under blankets covered in popcorn, or a drive-in necking session with a former girlfriend. Whatever the reason is, an outdoor movie is just a great idea.

Enter Cinewav’s outdoor movie screenings, where you can catch a movie under the stars together with your significant other. Offering a mix of classic and fan favourite movies, Cinewav has put a unique spin on the open-air cinema experience. Instead of having blaring loudspeakers, expect a silent outdoor screening experience where you bring your own headphones to enjoy HD audio.

Those who missed the first screening, fret not because Cinewav has hinted in their social media platforms that there’ll be more events in the lineup. So stay tuned for more announcements on their upcoming launches!

Looking for a unique Valentine’s Day idea that’s equally memorable and fun filled as well? Try out taxidermy with your partner at Black Crow Taxidermy & Art. This taxidermy studio deals with insects, reptiles and even small mammals. Owned by a young lady, the taxidermy also takes up requests by those who wish to preserve their departed cats and hamsters.

Take up the studio’s butterfly dome and butterfly frame workshops, where you get up close and personal with the preserved specimens and take home your very own DIY decor piece. Or gain insides to the whole taxidermy process of birds in the chick/duckling dome workshop. You get to turn these baby chickens or ducks into works of art!

Those keen on picking up pottery but feel daunted by the out-of-reach locations of many studios now have an option right in the heart of town. Am I Addicted, a Korean pottery studio and vegan cafe, has opened at Capital Singapore. Tucked away in the mall's basement, this 6000 square foot studio is a spacious and swanky pottery playground catering to beginners and more advanced students alike. After you've worked up an appetite creating ceramic vases of all kinds, you can simply head next door to fuel up on healthy vegan fare. Think miso aubergines, grilled 'cheese' kimchi toast, tofu sticks, and a selection of refreshing and creative coffees and cold drinks.

Go on a picnic at Singapore's parks

Spare yourselves the anxiety of making last-minute reservations at restaurants and go on a picnic date instead on Valentine’s Day instead. Pack a basket with the essentials- picnic mat, foldable table, games, food, of course- and head over to one of Singapore’s parks and open green spaces and have a romantic picnic with your other half. We recommend Singapore Botanic Gardens for its lush open space and canopy trees. Bring along a battery-operated candlelight if you wish to stay past sunset.
