The Australian Centre for Photography has popped up at this temporary location while it's in the process of finding a new space (it was formally located up Oxford Street in Paddington).
Founded in 1974, ACP is one of the longest-running contemporary art galleries in Australia, and a key proponent of the art form and professional practice of photography through exhibitions, publications, courses and workshops, events and public programs. ACP was the first to draw together major retrospectives of important Australian artists Max Dupain, Olive Cotton and Merv Bishop, and were early proponents of key contemporary artists such as Bill Henson, Tracey Moffatt, William Yang and Trent Parke.
