Catch a captivating aerial dance piece right in the centre of Martin Place for Art & About Sydney

Number 20 Martin Place is set to become the stage for a provocative, poised and graceful performance piece, when vertical dance pioneers Bandaloop take to the skies. This isn't your usual dance piece – you'll need to alter your perspective a little if you want to see this performance, as it takes place metres above the ground on the outer glass facade of a building.

The vertical cavort will see dancers using state-of-the-art climbing equipment, which allows them to oscillate off the side of the building, multiple stories above.

The San Francisco-based dance company have performed off the tops of skyscrapers in New York to the cliffs of Tianmen mountain in China, and now will make their Australian debut right here in Sydney. The performance is free and will take place daily from Friday August 18 until Sunday August 20, as part of the City of Sydney's Art & About program.
