Time Out says

Three minutes and one stop on the train from Liverpool and you’re in another world: all you can hear is wind in trees and bird song, and all you can see – apart from the whopping great industrial plant beside the station – is green bushland.

The arts centre is housed within a former electricity plant from the 1950s. Bought by Liverpool Council in the late ’70s, it opened its doors in 1994 as a space for cultural events and exhibitions. The complex features seven galleries, a 326-seat theatre, three artist studios.

CPAC generally has a couple of exhibitions in play at any given time, as well as a regular program of live music, classic film screenings and theatre.
