With a total prize pool of $38,000 and upwards of ten categories, the Fisher's Ghost Art Award attracts a massive cross-section of Australian and particularly Western Sydney artists each year. As such, the exhibition of finalists is a handy cross-section of contemporary art across all mediums.
This year's exhibition is the biggest yet, with almost 350 works by a line-up of artists that includes Abdul Abdullah, Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Tully Arnot, Ella Barclay, Max Berry, Anney Bounpraseuth, Mechelle Bounpraseuth, Linda Brescia, Eric Bridgeman, David Capra, Troy Emery, Heath Franco, Brian Fuata, Tim Gregory, Amala Groom, James Guppy, Tina Havelock Stevens, Nadia Hernández, Sophia Hewson, Sam Holt, Freya Jobbins, Shivanjani Lal, Michael Lindeman, Sanné Mestrom, Nicole Monks, James Nguyen, Naomi Oliver, George Raftopoulos, JD Reforma, Alun Rhys Jones, Khaled Sabsabi, Shireen Taweel, Angela Tiatia, Anna Tregloan, Brendan Van Hek, Mirra Whale, Jodie Whalen, Shevaun Wright, and Celeste Wrona.
The exhibition, now in its 55th year, runs concurrent with Campbelltown's annual ten-day Festival of Fishers Ghost.
