You might overlook this exhibition as an ad campaign for National Art School if the line-up wasn't both strong and curious in its juxtaposition of mediums, content and career level: 2017 Archibald Prize-winning painter Mitch Cairns and Sulman Prize winner Joan Ross feature alongside mid-career artists Karla Dickens, Newell Harry, Jumaadi, and Addison Marshall, and younger artists James Nguyen and Justine Varga.
Given more or less free rein, some artists created new works for the show, while others chose to present rarely exhibited pieces.
