South African-born art collector Michelle Paterson opened this commercial gallery in August 2013, after dipping a toe in the water in late 2012 with a series of pop-up exhibitions, talks, seminars and panel discussions, under the banner of Lots of M. .M Contemporary is aimed at cross-cultural discussion, programming emerging and established artists from Australia and overseas.
