Time Out says

Sharpen your senses at NAS Nights

Coinciding with NAS Gallery’s current exhibition, Sixth Sense, National Art School invites you to a nighttime adventure within the historic site of the old Darlinghurst gaol. Visit the campus after hours and see, hear, touch, taste and smell your way through a multi-sensory expedition that is sure to delight, surprise and challenge.

Explore the gallery's current exhibition and enjoy a special tour led by exhibition curator, Djon Mundine and NAS Gallery manager, Judith Blackall. Marvel at the work of contemporary artists, or escape to faraway cities using virtual reality headsets, courtesy of Getty Images.

Learn how to throw a pot and mould clay in the ceramics workshop, or join in on a historical tour to learn about the prison’s convict past. Relax to the soulful tunes of Sydney vocalist Evie J Willie or, if you’re in the mood for a dance, head to the silent disco for a different kind of live music experience.

Surround yourself with scents of the bespoke perfume that will be wafting through the silent disco, or head to the Flower Market for a floral fragrance to take home with you.

Enjoy refreshments from the Hangout Café and Cake Wines and, if you think you’ve got a budding artist on your hands, bring your children to Watch Our Garden Grow – an installation where kids work together to build a garden out of found materials.
