Creative women come into focus in this pop-up culture hub in World Square

World Square is a popular destination for shoppers and diners, but it’s also now a draw for culture seekers thanks to an innovative new arts space in one of the mall’s unused shopfronts. This dynamic social and creative hub celebrates women in the creative industries through a mix of installation art, workshops and live performances.

During the day, Now You Hear Her will feature an evolving exhibition underpinned by a series of development workshops with local artists, championing “playful and challenging musical experiences” by women. By night, the space will host a series of live activations, including music gigs, talks, movie screenings and listening parties.

The program has been curated by Lamorna Nightingale, Bree van Reyk and Damian Barbeler, and is completely free, although visitors can donate to the project’s Australian Cultural Fund to help support the artists and producers involved.
