Summer is here and school holidays are just around the corner. If you’re looking for ways to enjoy fun time outdoors with the family that won’t cost a fortune, then we’ve got good news for you.

Western Sydney Parklands calls itself ‘Sydney’s biggest backyard’ – and there's a good reason why. Covering 5,280 hectares, the parklands is home to more than 70km of tracks and trails. But it’s not all bush and walking tracks.

If you’re after some free fun, hit the track at Australia’s largest mountain biking and BMX hub in Australia, Wylde MTB and MBX; or roll out a picnic rug at the dog-friendly Bungarribee Park, which boasts a playground with a climbing tower, flying fox, swings and water play equipment.

If it’s an adventure you’re after, then fly through the trees on the country’s fastest zipcoaster at Treetops Adventure (score five per cent off family pass tickets this summer); splash out with more than 30 rides, slides and attractions at Sydney’s biggest waterpark, Raging Waters (enter code ‘COMEPLAYDT’ for $20 off day tickets on their website); and race your friends on the track at Sydney Motorsport Park or Sydney Dragway

The young ones are invited to join the adventures and thrills with a free junior titles drag racing event at Sydney Dragway on January 19, 2024. They’ll also love feeding the nursery animals at Calmsley Hill City Farm (take advantage of 15 per cent off day passes when you book online with the code ‘play2023’) and getting up close with the animals at the brand new Sydney Zoo (any tickets booked between December 25 and January 7 will receive free photos with animals, Ferris wheel rides, an icy treat and take-home summer activities).

Plus, you can catch the latest films under the stars at the Skyline Drive-In and stay the night in Western Sydney Parklands at the stylish Atura Hotel.

Plan your adventure now on the Western Sydney Parklands website and register for your chance to win a summer of fun, worth more than $4,000.
