Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.
Sydney's famous entertainment destination attracts fans of fine food, gaming and premium shopping
Opened in 1997, the casino formerly known as Star City had a massive revamp in 2011. The $870 million facelift saw the building given a new glass façade facing harborside, five new signature restaurants – Black Bar and Grill, Balla, Sokyo, Momofuku Seibo and The Century – which act as the flagships of the ongoing full renovation of the space from gambling palace to all-in-one entertainment hub.
Many of the classic venues remain, including the Sydney Lyric, however a new Star Event Centre is now open catering to international performers, intimate concerts, conferences, exhibitions and functions. There's also a revamped luxury hotel with spa. Watch sports at the 24/7 Sports Bar and catch live music at their in-house venue Rock Lily.
