Time Out says

With their favourite two things in mind – beer and fun – our very talented mates up on the Northern Beaches have come up with a plan so crazy, it just might work. The 4 Pines team have assembled a one-of-a-kind, homemade pilot brewery, especially for this event, which will see guests making their own craft beer brews.

Guests will be split up into three groups: one to select the malts, one to choose the hops, and the third to pick the yeast strain. Each team will work independently and contribute to an ale that will be named ‘4 Pines Russian Roulette’. The brewing process will be overseen by the masterful 4 Pines team.

While 4 Pines may or may not be entering the Roulette into any beer awards, all guests/collaborators are invited to return to the brewery once it’s bottled to collect their very own piece of brewing history. If it’s a cracker, you may even see it featured as a 4 Pines Keller Door brew down the track. If it fails miserably… well, at least we can all have a good laugh about it.

As well as a tour of the brewery, all guests receive four half-pints from the 4 Pines range during the event, plus a giant helping of 4 Pines’ legendary pizza pie. Transport from Central Station is included in the ticket price, courtesy of Dave’s Brewery Tours.

Tickets are available to public at $60 pp, and BLCo members at $45 (discount code sent to BLCo members).
