Snacks come thick and fast: zucchini flowers are a highlight, with a macabeo, or try the lightly spiced meatballs and a deeply coloured tempranillo from Rioja. With perhaps the city’s best range of Spanish and Spanish-inspired tipples, the wine list is a certified highlight. Moechtar seems omnipresent; a warm host who happily takes his wine bar patrons on vinous journeys from the textured whites of Yecla, to spicy reds of Navarra.
