Every Sunday the Imperial will be celebrating the spectacular spectrum of the LGBTQI+ community with the arrival of its new party, Explore Yourself. They'll be opening up every level of the venue and filling it with fab performers, great beats, expressive spaces, drink specials, and most importantly giving attendees the chance to celebrate themselves.
It all kicks off at noon on the Imperial's fresh new rooftop, with jugs of fruity cocktails and epic long format DJs sets that'll get you warmed up for the evening. Local favourite DJ Dan Murphy will be hopping behind the decks from 3pm, and a venue-wide happy hour kicks off at 5pm with $20 cocktail jugs, $12 jugs of beer and $25 bottles of house wine.
It's then time to lip sync for your life with Lip Sync Heroes. If you think you've got the chops you can hop up on stage and belt out a tune, with fairy drag mother Farren Heit on hosting duties. You're also encouraged to tip the performers with the Imperial's own fab currency 'Mitzi Moolah', which you'll receive with drink purchases. Drag'n'Dine will be running as usual also, so you can fuel up on a delicious meal and get ready to dance the night away. You'll also find $12 Espresso Martinis from 10pm until midnight, and a temporary art exhibition by illustrator LukeJohnMatthewArnold, whose bright prints will pop up in celebration of marriage equality until the end of August.
