Mario Kart Tournament

Controllers at the ready because this Newtown bar is hosting the ultimate video game smack down this weekend. King Street's 1989 Kitchen and Arcade will be hosting a Mario Kart Tournament on Sunday. That's right, while your mates are dragging their feet at the City2Surf, you can claim real glory with some help from Mario, Luigi or Peach. The comp kicks off at 8pm, but all weekend long the bar will also be offering free arcade games, so you can battle it out playing Space Invaders with a cocktail in hand.
