Good Beer Company’s two pubs, the DOG Hotel Randwick and Keg and Brew in Surry Hills will both be gussying up this Melbourne Cup with special menus, sweeps at both venues, prizes and of course, lots of beer.
Both pubs will be pouring $6.50 schooners of Stone and Wood Pacific Ale and Sydney Brewery Sydney Cider, along with house red, white and sparkling. If you're after a spritzer, you can order up a $10 Aperol Agave Spritz or try one of the 59 beers on tap at the DOG or 33 at the Keg & Brew. Food-wise the DOG will have fresh seafood, wood-fired pizzas and black truffle risotto. Over at the Keg & Brew you can order up lobster or a full classic roast chook.
The DOG will screen the main event across 14 screens and has an in-house TAB with the action hosted by 2GB radio’s, Ben Malouf, while the Keg & Brew will have several large screens, and a TAB within walking distance. Add in live music and prizes for best dressed and you've got a top-notch way to spend Melbourne Cup.
