Singapore Social is bringing the best of Singapore’s nightlife to Sydney. The Rooftop Sydney will be channelling the 'Little Red Dot' on February 20 and 21 with drinks from two Singaporean bars that made it onto the World’s 50 Best Bars List and a menu curated by 2018 MasterChef Australia winner Sashi Chellah.
Singapore bars Native and Operation Dagger are known across the world as two highly inventive and boundary-pushing bars. Native's head mixologist Vijay Mudaliar, for instance, serves a cocktail which features ants foraged from around Singapore's Ann Siang Hill.
For this event, bartenders from both bars have designed innovative cocktails inspired by Singapore’s landscapes, flavours and cuisine.
Sashi Chellah has also drawn inspiration from his Singaporean heritage to create lunch and two dinner options for this event, including a cracking five-course dégustation with dishes that play with authentic Indian, Chinese and Malay flavours. Punters can even enjoy a dish that proved one of Sashi's MasterChef triumphs – chicken rendang wrapped on roti jala with pineapple cucumber achar.
And since no party is complete without killer music, turntablist DJ KoFlow and pop and R'n'B sensation Tabitha Nauser will be present to entertain.
Singapore Social will begin at noon on both days and Sashi’s creations will be available to devour until sold out, so rock up to the Rooftop in time to grab some. The cocktails will be sold until midnight.
