With outstanding restaurants, dazzling lighting displays and a wide spectrum of events, the Argyle in the Rocks is an ideal base for your Vivid adventure this winter.
Adopting the theme of ‘Parallel Universes’, the venue is featuring state-of-the-art light shows, roaming performers and even free movies and popcorn on Monday nights in the cobblestoned courtyard.
Casual bites at the Argyle Canteen, hearty Germanic eats at Munich Brauhaus and Tex-Mex fare at El Camino Cantina are all on hand from 5pm for a child-friendly pre- or post-viewing feast.
If you’re rolling with adults then the refined Japanese of Saké Restaurant and Bar, sensational steaks at the Cut Bar and Grill and (over in Circular Quay) the luxurious French of Café Ananas are going to be more your style.
The Argyle’s two floors, six bars and revolving line-up of DJs are bringing the Post-Vivid good times each weekend along with a special themed Vivid cocktail, the Lilikoi ($19) –Belvedere Pink Grapefruit, Aperol, raspberry and passionfruit.
