Time Out says

Celebrate with brews at the DOG

The state's largest craft beer venue, the DOG Hotel, is celebrating a year of serving some of the city's coldest craft brews with a birthday bash

Sixteen of the venue’s 59 taps will be pouring Sydney Brewery's local numbers including the Surry Hills Pils, Darlo Dark and Glamarama Summer Ale. To celebrate the DOG's birthday they will also be doing a one-off collaboration brew. The Light Rail Ale is an American-style fruity steam ale. It's a nod to Randwick’s future transport interchange and you can try a schooner for just $5.

After you've knocked back a few craft beers be sure to order up one of the DOG's smoked beef brisket burger (complete with a mac'n'cheese patty, slaw and pickles) or a lasagne spring roll (and yep, that's meat, pasta and cheese inside a spring roll.) Or the Friday fish and chips special for just $9.90. They'll also be giving you free cupcakes to celebrate.

You'll also have the chance to win a trip to the Hunter Valley for a two night stay at the Crowne, complete with a brewery tour, dinner and a tasting session. Sydney Brewery’s head brewer Michael Capaldo will be on hand for a chat.
