To celebrate the launch of the new and improved Cauliflower Hotel, the Waterloo boozer is hosting a massive party open to everyone. On Saturday November 5, the new Forgotten Cask Bar will open its doors to the public with special musical guest Rai Thistlethwayte (Thirsty Merc) headlining the event (9.30pm).
The Forgotten Cask Bar is a rum-focused cocktail bar with influences from the Caribbean islands – think tropical succulents, island vibes and rum cocktails. Even better, the Forgotten Cask Bar has sole distribution rights in Australia of the St Lucian Rum distilleries, so if you’re after Forgotten Cask, Admiral Rodney or the Chairman’s Reserve Range rum, this is the rum bar for you.
Wander into the palm lounge deck area or the rooftop garden terrace for areas to unwind, or venture downstairs to the themed rock bar where there’ll be performances every Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
There’s also a separate beer garden where you can watch your favourite sports plus TAB and VIP gaming rooms.
They’ve also launched a stellar new menu. The new menu focuses on share plates with a Pacific, Caribbean, Central and South American influence. Tacos (pulled pork, barramundi or chicken) are two for $10. Try the Tijuana fajitas or the Ancho chilli camarones to share, or opt for the Cubanobano Sanguiche (pan cubano bread, triple smoked ham, spicy pulled pork, swiss cheese, pickles, mustard and sweet potato guajillo aiolo, sweet potato chips).
If you’re just after a classic chicken schnitty, don’t worry, they’ve got all the public classics too.
