Decked out in floor to ceiling recycled timber, candlelight, barrels, anchors and swinging light bulbs, this nautical hideaway is reminiscent of the inside of an eighteenth century ship – and provides a fitting backdrop to whisky-induced sea shanties.
They possess an impressive catalogue of fine whiskies so if you're keen to lighten your wallet this place can certainly oblige, but it's the sort of place you want to come armed with your own taste and knowledge to help steer the staff towards your preferred dram.
If you're hungry there's pizzas with creative toppings like fig, prosciutto, rosemary, brie and balsamic; roasted prawns with red capsicum, mozzarella and pesto; or a rocket, pear, walnut and provolone number. But for simplicity's sake we opt for the pesto, mozzarella, parmesan and cherry tomato combination.
There's two-for-one cocktails on Sunday evenings, five-dollar tequila on a Tuesday and a Friday happy hour from 5-7pm to help you make the most of your cash and save it for the firewater.
