The highly anticipated movie version of Craig Silvey's novel Jasper Jones now has a teaser trailer and a release date.
The novel, often considered Australia's answer to To Kill a Mockingbird, received acclaimed stagings by Belvoir (in 2015, and returning in January 2017) as well as the Melbourne Theatre Company. The movie version, directed by Rachel Perkins (Bran Nue Dae), stars Levi Miller (Pan) as Charlie Bucktin and Aaron McGrath as Jasper, and has Toni Collette, Hugo Weaving and Dan Wyllie in the supporting cast.
The movie will be released on March 2, 2017. Here's the trailer.
