Well, we always knew Marc Fennell's replacement would be young. And to be honest we also kind of hoped it would be a girl too. So here she is: 22-year-old Amelia Navascues, a former punk rocker who volunteers at her local radio station and believes Adam Sandler should play her in the movie of her life (already revealing the tongue-in-cheek 'tude needed to carry off the Triple J gig, we hope).

Navascues beat out a field of over 1,300 applicants to replace Fennell, who steps down from being the youth network's That Movie Guy after 11 years.

So what else do we know about Amelia? Her favourite filmmakers are the Coen Brothers and her top five movies are Barton Fink, Memento, The Talented Mr Ripley, Old Boy, The Royal Tenenbaums and Reservoir Dogs. TV wise she's currently bingeing on House of Cards.

She also wants the Australian arts criticism scene to be "more representative and democratic.

"Technology and social media are definite enablers for that sort of stuff, but it'd also be great to see more representation in general. Whether this kind of representation is cultural, more chicks in art criticism, the LGBTQIA community, or just more young people!

"I mean, Australia's a pretty diverse place, I'd really just love to see more voices being heard in arts criticism and I think it's about time the people criticising art should reflect the Aussie landscape."

What's playing in Sydney cinemas right now?
