Time Out says

The stand-up comic turned screen comedy legend is sitting down (and standing up) with Andrew Denton for an evening of conversation, storytelling and comedy

Last in Australia with his autobiographical one-man show 700 Sundays, Billy Crystal is returning to tour the country with an evening hosted by consummate interviewer Andrew Denton (Enough Rope), which will be part interview, part stand-up, part performed-anecdotes.

Crystal says that he’s excited to be working with Andrew Denton. “He’s very witty and incisive and we’ll bring the best out of each other. The show will be spontaneous, funny and unpredictable. I tell stories, I perform, we show film clips. And yes, I will stand up. It’s not only a conversation with Andrew, it’s with the audience as well.”

Crystal was a regular on Saturday Night Live before creating headlines in 1970s sitcom Soap. His unforgettable movies include When Harry Met Sally…, The Princess Bride, City Slickers, Analyze This and Monsters Inc. He has hosted the Oscars nine times, most recently in 2012.

His three performances are part of The Star’s varied line-up of winter events designed to tempt Sydneysiders out of hibernation. All ticket holders are entitled to a 15 per cent discount at Harvest Buffet, the all-you-can eat buffet at The Star featuring top seafood, roasts, soups, Italian, Indian and Chinese food as well as a tempting range of desserts and cheeses.
