Time Out says

They say that there's a fine line between laughing and crying – and boy howdy was that line tested last year. But they also say necessity is the mother of invention, and the events of last year paved the way for many innovations across the creative industries, which have continued to persist even as IRL venues have reopened.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) returns this March and it's shaking a few things up this year. In 2021 the festival is, naturally, back in physical venues across Melbourne – but it's also beaming comedy directly into your house with a slew of online, digital comedy shows to allow everyone access to the world famous event.

There's a diverse range of shows available to watch online; some of our top picks include Deadly Funny Women: In Conversation (Apr 12), Kvizzing with Comedians (Apr 13), Flashback Fridays with Denise Scott (Mar 26-Apr 16), Lawrence Leung: Connected (Mar 26-Apr 16), and Mark Watson: Wish You Were Here (Mar 22-Apr 4).
