A little over a year ago, Mo Gilligan was working in a Levi's shop in Covent Garden. Now he's touring the world and selling out stand-up gigs everywhere he goes. He just sold 30,000 tickets to his debut UK tour and is headed to Sydney as part of Just for Laughs.
Gilligan is one of the generation of comedians who owe their careers to a few great viral videos, and his most popular clips have been character-based sketches like his 'Different Types of Girls at a Nightclub'. But he's not exactly what you'd call an overnight sensation – he'd been chipping away at his comedy career for several years before he hit the big time. In the last year he's performed on heaps of popular TV shows in the UK and is developing his own pilot with Channel 4. So basically this is your chance to see him before he hits the really big time.
